The Ithaca New Music Collective Call for Scores

Entry Deadline: September 27, 2019

The Ithaca New Music Collective is a group of musicians in Ithaca, NY dedicated to representing the diverse sounds of the composers that are affiliated with the Ithaca community. The ensemble regularly performs works written by composers from Ithaca College, Cornell University, and residents of Ithaca, and the collective strives to bring this music into the Ithaca community and beyond.

This year, for the first time in its history, the ensemble is conducting a national call for scores. Three works will be selected for the competition and will be performed at the ensemble’s annual “Ghostly Gathering” Halloween-themed concert in October.

Prize: The winning composer will receive a $300 prize. INMC cannot offer travel stipends at this time. Selected composers who are traveling to Ithaca will be provided with local accommodations.
